It would be great if this even works in a remote Pluto session, which is just available via the browser

I believe InteractiveUtil.clipboard also does not work in a remote Pluto session, so this is not an issue with this package.

I haven't tried it yet, but RemoteREPL.jl might help.

I am a bit surprised it is not intended as such. It would be cool if you could use ImageClipboard simply in the browser.
