Code Snippets

• proxy - Heroku app code for proxy request so you can inject grepwords data directly into GSC

• appscript - Code snippet for a Google sheet to enable the following command =search_volume("seo") REQUIRES THE PROXY

• bookmarklet - Code that requires the proxy for injecting grepwords search volume and cpc data into GSC

Proxy

Be sure to rename env_sample to .env and update the APIKEY to the grepwords APIKEY so you can test it locally. When pushing to heroku, you will have to add an APIKEY envar via heroku dashboard for the app > Settings > Config Vars

Proxy Setup

cd proxy
npm install
cp env_sample .env

Edit .env with your grepwords API Details in deploying to Heroku can be found here

App Script

Be sure to change the BASEURL in the appscript.js file before you copy/paste into the Google Sheets App Script Editor. The example I show in the webinar is using a test one https://XXXX.herokuapp.com

For the demo showcasing the sparkline, you need 3 ceils and work your way left to right As a column it's

keyword
sparkline
list search volume and dates

1. seo
2. =SPARKLINE(A3:A13,{"charttype","column";"highcolor","red"})
3. =search_volume(A1)

Bookmarklet

Be sure to replace the APIKEY with your grepwords API key as well as adjust the KEYWORDLIMIT to the optimize the amount fetch and loaded in GSC as they are done live

Slack

The proxy script has an endpoint /slack/sv. Create an app from app manifest. Then add a slash command for /sv. You need to update the endpoint that is on the proxy and add the app to your workspace.
