Hangouts Fluid Userscript

This is a userscript to enhance Google Hangouts as a Fluid app, adding native OS X notifications.

Usage

1. In your Hangouts Fluid app, open Window > Userscripts
2. Create a new script (left column plus sign), name it "Hangouts"
3. Add this URL pattern and enable: *hangouts.google.com*
4. Paste the contents of script.js into the text area
5. Reload Hangouts and enjoy!

First time making a Fluid app for Hangouts?

You'll need to change your User Agent to Chrome.

1. Select the Hangouts menu (right of the Apple logo)
2. Select "User Agent" > "Google Chrome (##) — Mac"

Known Issues

• First message when a new chat box is created may not notify or may notify with dozens of messages
