- I was the Vice President of Cybersecurity for NielsenIQ. My focus was enabling a global security posture, leveraging DevSecOps to transform our services and deliver best in class and secure data and analytics for fast moving consumer goods to our global customers.
- I was the Chief Security Architect for TransUnion. My focus was enabling a global security posture, leveraging DevSecOps to transform our services to build Information for Good and deliver best in class and secure credit decisioning and identity services to our global customers.
- I was the Chief Transformation Evangelist For Equifax. My focus was around spreading the good word of how Equifax is helping people live thier financial best while driving fanatical customer and consumer delight and engaging the community to create market feedback loops enabling them to deliver the next generation of services as leaders of our industry.
Sean Davis is a seasoned global cybersecurity leader with a distinguished career spanning over two and a half decades. In his roles as Chief Security Architect and VP, Cybersecurity at various financial and data firms, Sean has led the charge in fortifying company's security postures, leading technology transformational efforts, strengthening customer confidence in cloud and product security, and leading global remote teams in safeguarding the organization's information, technology, and people.
Sean's leadership in the security industry extends beyond just his executive roles. He is an invaluable member of several advisory boards and networks, solidifying his reputation as a sought-after authority in the industry for presentations at major conferences such as RSA and DevOpsDays. Additionally, Sean lends his expertise to several brands and communities as an ambassador to build a stronger cybersecurity landscape paving the way for future security practitioners.
Sean's commitment to education is evident through his role as an accredited instructor for PeopleCert (Formerly DevOps Institute), ITSM Academy, and Ahead Consulting and coauthored the world's first DevSecOps certification. Sean is also a published author with his book, The Purple Book of Software Security, coauthored with some of the best minds in the security industry.
Sean's career includes tenures at several large financial services firms such as his role as Chief Transformation Evangelist for Equifax and Chief Security Architect For Transunion. While at Equifax, he help build the next generation of security to produce consumer data. His contributions involved planning and implementation of a $1.5BN security transformation, which included a $8M dedicated security fusion center, a global product compliance platform, and over $50M investment in Google cloud services. While at Transunion, he led the Cybersecurity organization, overseeing security architecture, GRC, and engineering through a multi-million dollar transformation and consolidation of over 150 products and 11 M&A's to the cloud.
