Migrating from apps-rest to isc.rest

A few general notes on migrating from apps-rest (https://github.com/intersystems/apps-rest) to isc.rest:

• Generally, the structure is the same. There's still a base REST handler, there are still four resource types (resource/dbMappedResource/proxy/adaptor), there are still actions.
• Class names have changed: AppS.REST.* -> %pkg.isc.rest.* and with camelCase instead of PascalCase classnames. You should update the class(es) you extend appropriately.
• A new method must be overridden in your REST handler class (extending AppS.REST.Handler in apps-rest and %pkg.isc.rest.handler using isc.rest): CheckResourcePermitted. A typical/good implementation would be to make sure that your rest models are in a particular class, as is done in (e.g.)isc.sample.rest.phonebook.rest.Handler

So, why bother moving? There are three main reasons:

• isc.rest supports OpenAPI/Swagger generation based on models known to the database
• isc.rest supports use within multiple independent applications in the same namespace, while apps-rest assumes a single consumer per namespace
• The Future: Ongoing development will happen here, not on apps-rest.
