docs: add notification feature walk through

Write documentation for users as the audience e.g. that will include scenarios where users use the notifications feature to match their needs. We should keep technical terms to a minimum or gradually explain the different terms (That could also be linked to the technical design documentation or at least referenced for a more in depth explanation!)
