Alert on variant detection

I noticed that a specimen with a variant image (second image was open fragment envelope) was renamed BARCODE_A. There was no alert issued to the console. I assume the first taken image of a specimen is the "original", and timestamps could be used to assume the later images should be the variants with suffix(es) appended, but an alert would let the technicians double check these.

Would you want an alert displayed on the command line or in the log file or both?

Both is better I think. For the log it could just be an addition to "status_details".
