The GitHub Actions workers run Ubuntu natively, so that's the distribution that Linux packages are currently being built for. But it would be nice to also continue releasing Debian packages as in previous releases. This might be covered by #45, or done specifically using an approach like https://github.com/marketplace/actions/build-debian-packages .
