One of my heating zones has only underfloor heating. It takes hours for the room to start warming up after turning on the heating. I am pondering whether a PID controller actually makes sense in this case? Plants with time delays are not a great fit for PIDs, and maybe a PI controller makes more sense in this case.
What do you think? Is Versatile Thermostat a good fit for UFH? What do you think the way is to cater for the time delay?
(My system works in 'over switch' mode as I need to turn the boiler + pump on when heat is requested.)
