i cannot seem to find the 3DFAW dataset anywhere?
which renders the whole project obsolete, so any idea where to find it

Hi,

It seems like the original URL we provided for 3DFAW has changed, and it seems to no longer contain the request form for 3DFAW. Are you able to contact the lab here (http://mhug.disi.unitn.it/workshop/3dfaw/#/contacts) and ask for it?

The dataset is not publicly available and has to be requested, unfortunately. Otherwise, @SinaHonari do you know if there is an alternative that can be used for the project that can be publicly downloaded?

Thanks.

Alternative, if you know of a dataset that is instead 68 keypoints (rather than the 66 of 3DFAW), you can use this diagram to help you figure out what two keypoints you need to remove to convert it to 66:

https://github.com/tarunk04/P1_Facial_Keypoints/blob/master/images/landmarks_numbered.jpg?raw=true

An example dataset I found is here: https://www.kaggle.com/tarunkr/facial-keypoints-68-dataset/version/1

Again, @SinaHonari if you know of more ideal datasets, please let us know. Sorry it's been such a long time since we did this project (2018), so my memory is quite rusty.

Cheers
