The website in Github is merely the code, not the server configuration. Worse, most of it is filled with demo data and not aimed at migration of old data yet.

This issue aims at preparing the migration by creating a step-by-step instruction to deployment and migration.

@bartromgens and @trolando please look at my work in https://github.com/jonge-democraten/website/blob/master/docs/administrator.md and make any changes you deem necessary. I especially am not sure what it would take to make a development/acceptance copy of the website on the server. @trolando I think you could best write that specific section.

@Pieter1024: I just read through it. Looks really good. We should keep adding and improving, and then let one of the nextgen setup a development version as a test :)

I consider enough of it ready to no longer need it before we go live. I'm moving it to the final milestone.

And I'm assigning it to @trolando because he actually knows the content needed to finish it :).

This is still open. Deploying jdwebsite 2.0 is a good time to improve the deployment instructions.

An important thing that is missing are instructions on how to use and configure local_settings.py based on local_settings_example.py. Important parts here are the ALLOWED_HOSTS and FULLCALENDAR_SITE_COLORS.

Another thing are the Mezzanine settings (in the admin) that need to be set before the site works properly.
