1 B: Yeah, they don't even wait around here to see if they canceled it
1 B: um, it's beautiful the next day.
0 lately [barking].
0 A: Yeah. That area. And it's really small. All, all you have is like towns

1 A: -- what it is for us to make mark off models, you know. It's like,
1 I kind of have to trade off, you know. If you never see it you don't spend

0 A: Uh-huh.
1 B: I don't know. Send them over to Iraq [laughter].
1 B: Like to have a volunteer come here and rake leaves and mow the grass and

0 A: It's, it's a pretty big and we put that over rice.
1 B: You wouldn't believe it, we even raised chickens [laughter].

0 B: All right, thank you, bye-bye.
0 you can get out on the water, that's the main thing.
0 B: Yeah.
0 B: Yeah. But, uh, yeah, Joe Pool, is so close, uh, you know, close into
1 A: I probably won't make anything beyond this blanket [laughter].
0 see what work they're doing. You know, you don't get credit for working in
1 B: Bob ((Macky)) and such [laughter].
0 B: All right.
0 A: Right.
0 a lot of things but if we are concerned about it then we certainly can, uh,

1 A: Yeah, I'm sure it is.
0 not just the government's responsibility anymore. You can't just blame it on

0 uh, going, I guess.
0 A: You bet, especially in the South.

0 A: Yeah.
0 you never know if it's the switchboard or if it's, uh, you know, somebody
0 B: Right.
0 B: Um.
0 A: -- or THE ACCUSED.
0 B: Uh, I, I don't have a, other than, than a reading and, and male perspective
1 A: You know. We just got our phone back today, uh,
1 punishment, but if I were sitting on a jury and had to make the decision
1 should keep them waiting in jail and let, having us pay for it for twenty
1 A: I guess if you stay out of trouble, you don't have you worry about it, but

1 B: -- because it's right by their entryway. And they, they wanted roses. So
0 A: My, um, husband's father has a place out in East Texas so he's always

1 A: They like that.
0 B: -- that when you get something you're lucky to get it, so to speak --
0 I feel a lot better doing it with a power mower with that, with a [laughter]
0 B: So that it just mulches underneath. It just goes back down, um, right
0 B: No, I think it's supposed to be natural.
0 B: Um, she, she breaks both of his ankles.
0 just a movie, but no, Mama, I've seen it [laughter].
1 [laughter].
0 B: O'Gear {phonetically spelled}, um, I'm sure you've heard of it, it was a

0 A: #So it's good talking to you.#
0 B: Uh-huh.
1 A: And, they just, they ruin, [laughter],
1 B: You know, yeah, I don't know if it would be dishonest or honest though
1 A: Yeah, I would imagine women would understand maternity a lot better than
1 the feminists,
0 you know, his, you know, and that never has offended me when, you know, when
0 A: I think I'm more scared of her not because she's a female but bec-, more

0 B: Yeah.
1 legal assistant and that's what I know, so, and, uh, just nothing basically
0 I'm really interested in legal, you know, in the legal environment, but I
0 A: and I think that, that the jury probably has more of a right to sentence
0 up, been with us all day {pause}. Well,
0 really believe that. I think it's a lot more than that.
1 B: That's right [laughter].
1 B: Yes.
0 B: [Breathing] Yeah, oh, I think I know who you're talking about. Uh, I've
1 my gosh if they show that,

0 A: Um, but I used to go throu-, I, I'd get loads and loads of these things. I
1 B: Oh, that's unusual I'd never heard of anything like that, you know.
0 B: Yeah, you barbecue s-,

1 A: You know, I mean, it was like, don't you dare stop [laughter].
1 B: Oh, oh.
0 A: that's up on the wall. You know,
0 he's fished all over the United States, in which they can catch the biggest
0 and, I guess I just look at it as I time I can get away from it all, and,
0 hundred miles, and your probably in the same kind of environment [laughter]
0 know, there are places you can drive in and park, and they have got the usual
1 see.
0 B: [Laughter] Think so.
0 credit.
0 B: Oh, yeah.
0 A: And, and the youngest one tends to be the one that's spoiled.
0 A: -- and, and I can feel that [laughter].
0 did something and I saw the kids out there with sticks digging it up again and
1 different, I mean, I don't think they have anything in common,
0 A: So, um, well I guess that's about all we need to do, isn't it.
0 them to Florida --
0 A: Uh-huh, uh-huh.
1 A: -- I mean, as a matter of fact, that's what we're doing tonight
0 B: Yeah.
1 A: Or a not too good summer and a worse winter next year.
1 the oil or the gas would turn to slush. Huh-uh. See, I can't handle that
0 A: Uh, yes I have, uh, automobile, uh, vandalism.
0 father's house, we have, my sister and I have a couple of gardens. I think we

0 job, because the kids spend more time with the parents than they spend at
0 medi-, the dental insurance is separate. Is that what you mean?
0 home from work at the end of the day, if I go up for an hour in the pool, I'm
0 B: Got our businesses and, and, and our life in line, how to manage credit
0 really shocked at how nice everything is in our house. But, we don't, you
1 and he had his pockets full of stuff, you know, when he was caught --
0 A: What do you think on the local elections though?
0 people vote in the larger elections because they feel like, well, you know,
1 Richards.
1 A: [Laughter] Yeah.
1 B: I am a dis-, I am, I am just a disgruntled person all around [laughter].
0 B: -- weather to really do something, uh, with regard to football.
0 B: All right. And,
1 A: And it had, uh, had st-, standard on, you know, standard --
0 you know, I guess it's what you become acclimated [laughter].
0 seven or eight months after that she had to go in a nursing home. Because I

0 B: Oh, that's great.
0 A: Well it's,
0 you're, you would know like BARNEY MILLER. Do you ever watch that? Or the

0 really,
0 ==========================================================================
0 a lot of these people have them maxed out.
0 A: Yeah.
1 A: -- and their manager assumes they have a drug problem --
0 B: -- I think so. Yeah, seven twenty-five.

1 A: Yeah, wow.
0 B: I have every book the woman's ever wrote.
0 did okay, but I liked the book better.
0 B: Uh-huh.
1 B: I'll tell anybody I'd go to Jazzercize before I'd go to aerobics
0 B: And it was just, you know --
0 A: -- really hadn't produced, you know, a whole lot. But, uh,
0 A: Right.
1 B: You know you need twenty gallons, but do you need how many liters
0 yours or do you keep #children for other people?#
1 A: [Laughter].
0 A: Right.
0 A: Uh-huh.
0 A: Yeah, no, I used to when I was, when I was, uh, younger --
0 B: Yeah. Well, um, oh, I guess another thing I've noticed, too, here lately
0 A: Nope.
1 were kind of, little upset.
0 A: -- next month, I guess, and it will start then, and, you know, we had a lot
1 I guess I agreed with the extra premium.
0 B: -- and it's still, that's still a big thing here in this backwards state.
0 A: I, I know, I think literacy is probably the biggest problem there.
1 A: Man, I worked as a welder, and, uh, you don't even get paid that much
0 A: Well, now, that's the card, see.
1 A: Yeah, exactly.
1 A: Sure, naturally. That's, I got into all kinds of trouble doing that
0 plastic.#
0 A: But now, as far as what they can do about it, I don't know.
0 people in jail right now for child support, okay --
0 A: #T V station.#
0 overstep our bounds if we went in and did that --
0 B: [Laughter].
0 A: Yeah, it was.
0 A: I think this must be into my third week too. So do you work for T I?
0 The computers,
0 A: Yeah, did I, didn't we push?
1 A: I'm afraid I'm a T V flipper. Anything bad, I like, I like to,
0 A: Oh.
0 I've paid enough taxes to be too, too awfully concerned about it yet.
1 A: [Laughter].
0 over the old stuff, I'll go ahead and throw on a sixties tape.
0 able to control.
0 problem here before. We really did not in my neighborhood. We're not wealthy
0 we've still got a dog and a bird left [noise].
1 B: [Laughter].
0 A: If my wife had an education and could support us, and the only value I see
0 B: Uh-huh.
0 B: [Noise] [laughter].
0 expenses?
1 really sav-, it's savings if we don't spend it.
0 A: Uh-huh.
0 B: #all# those people got flooded out.
1 A: to go to Home Depot and that's a problem [laughter].
1 B: [Laughter] Yeah. Oh, gosh, yes, uh, the [laughter], a lot of people go
1 A: That's good [laughter].
0 B: Yeah. Because, you know, people like Starkist, they don't go out there and
1 A: -- and, and tha-, how come everybody is a lawyer, you know, you know
0 A: as much as they should have raised it I'm sure.
0 PEOPLE, but I like the other one.
0 B: Okay. We're right, we're connected to Richardson.
1 A: So, uh, we don't get our exercise because we don't change the channel,
0 B: Oh.
1 A: but we didn't do it right.
1 B: Yeah, sounds familiar.
0 A: [Throat_clearing] And the, I don't remember the name of the place but for a
1 the,
1 table, she reached across the table.
1 instead of just grabbing a handful [laughter] and bring them over again.
0 B: Yes, and, and it's sad because it was, it was a nice store, and she was
1 you,
1 off.
0 A: Yeah.
0 =============================================================================
1 B: I used to just, I, I used be a connoisseur of hamburger places
0 people that own them are the hom-, homes themselves, and you
0 B: Right, right, exactly, so, well was it hard to adjust living
0 learned to ski, oh, probably two years ago. He's a slalom skier now.
0 lot when we first got married and the children came along, when they're real
0 taking school pictures --
0 to help, and even though we were both working the same number of
1 B: Yeah. That would be horrible. [laughter].
0 because, I am pretty much the, like you said, the guru,
0 A: Yeah.
1 B: Yeah, I know, it's a funny degree [laughter].
1 A: Oh, well, see, um, [laughter].
1 just all kinds of problems.
0 whether he plays or not they have got to pay him ten million dollars. So if
0 bucks were. And shoot, you can't blame him, man that's, that's a phenomenal
0 #machine?#
0 in May of this year, the city is going to leave, uh, receptacles at people's
0 B: so that was really good idea,
0 A: Yes. There are, there is a receptacle, you know, at the centers also for
0 know, it's going to happen slowly no matter what but there's going to have to
0 A: a technique of keeping track of units.
0 was, uh, uh, [noise] a big surge going on, oh just last year I think, where,
1 B: Well, let's see, well, we assume I was an adult twenty years ago,
0 B: Oh ((really))?
1 A: Yeah, that would be ((wrongful)).
0 saw what the jury didn't plus what the jury did, because we were just
0 B: Huh.
1 sounds easy.
0 A: Yeah, that's, that's bit (( )) I mean, you could always buy a, uh, you
1 B: Oh, my land. I'd be scared to dead to have anything that expensive
0 A: Uh, you do for classes, for classes, but to, I mean to use any of the
1 lifting so she choice to take weight lifting,
1 B: Well, I have an exercise bicycle in my bedroom, but it usually's holding
1 five seconds to say good-bye.
0 B: Well, I'm, um, going to be certified as an English teacher (( )) teach
1 A: to anybody but myself [laughter].
0 @A: Okay, well, uh, so what do you think about golfing? Are you a spectator,
0 B: [Laughter] And I really think that it will be a long time, probably, before
1 know, he believed in it.
0 A: Well, we went one time, uh, one of my ex boyfriends had taken me. This was
1 A: Air Force, uh, I, he tried to get in there. They wouldn't take him
1 here just around us.
0 B: Oh. Does that last through the summer, too?
0 A: -- which has different views on life.
0 B: -- you know, the ones that let us in, but, uh,
0 they, they can do a much better job since they don't have to chop it into
1 editorial cartoons about all the retired generals,
0 hanging open.
0 B: Uh-huh.
1 A: And I think, why didn't you tell me a year ago when we got the other dog
0 A: Oh my goodness.
1 B: So first thing I think of is how easy would this,
0 B: Um.
1 A: There's yeah, there's a few designs I guess I've done myself, but not very
0 fact I had a bunch of people come to look at it, and they were fighting over
1 me a shopping list of things I needed to get done [laughter].
1 [laughter].
1 B: Okay, the car. If I buy a car it'd probably be an American made car
0 monthly minimum and cart storage and membership would make it about a thousand
0 A: Right [laughter]. So do you play much?
1 A: I guess we won't know unless they never have any babies [laughter].
0 B: No, no, and they probably used to have it. I just finished a, a major
1 B: Right.
1 supposedly, you know, cosmic social enlightenment.
0 B: #Yeah.#
0 B: Yeah, I've got, uh, three cats, uh.
1 that worries her [laughter].
1 B: and she'd drag that thing around the yard.
0 B: Yeah, every one of mine,
0 A: -- and all this, and so no, I don't trust them a bit. I think it's a big
1 A: Yeah, you'd have the whole town on you, didn't you?
0 A: Okay.
0 B: Huh.
1 B: Huh.
1 B: Well, yeah, you work for T I.
0 A: I, I didn't know.
0 A: Oh, it's horrible, isn't it.
1 A: Well, that's, that's good exercise, and I don't do enough of that either.
0 A: I was reading an article in the paper the other morning. These doctors are
1 A: Jeez, I'm not worried about it [laughter].
1 A: (( )) yeah,
1 A: fooled with that checkbook, you know [laughter].
0 A: what it would be down there. You might want to, whatever your radio talk
0 B: -- you know.
0 got, still got a pretty good team if they could just find a real good
0 A: you got to choose the tickets based on your seniority as a season ticket
0 B: Uh-huh.
0 B: You're at,
0 that's, or trees that are already leafed out.
0 A: and they just shade everything.
0 the next thing you know we'll be turning around just like we did to Poland and
0 B: So he ended up going to Korea and his buddies ended up going to Saudi.
0 A: Yeah.
0 B: Oh, they, they are the best.
0 B: Uh-huh.
0 while they were doing their thing to keep copying files out.
0 B: look at the Amiga, a lot of people think it's a toy and a game machine
0 B: I'm sure,
0 wait and let her dump them off tomorrow.
0 B: and I hated to take a big old sack, I mean, one time, I mean, like a lawn
0 A: Oh really?
1 one?
1 A: Yeah [laughter].
0 A: Uh-huh.
1 A: No, I never really thought about it [laughter].
1 A: [Laughter] Yeah but,
1 B: Yeah. I try to go real late or real early before they get there
1 A: [Laughter] (( )).
0 ===========================================================================
0 the bo-, bottom of th-, on top of the barrel --
0 B: Wow.
1 A: -- this, my kid is jumping on me. I can't hardly talk.
0 B: Yeah.
1 A: Uh, we could look at our paychecks and see how much control they have.
1 NINJA TURTLE movie [laughter].
0 B: [Laughter] That's right. Yeah, but my preference is the one we saw before
1 A: -- because I had just gone overboard the first time. I don't know but,
0 A: And, and, of course, and, well, yeah, that, and plus, I mean part of it is
0 B: Right, it's just, it's just, uh, like a necessary evil. I mean, when we,
1 regular T V that we watched, we had to watch an hour of public T V
1 A: I can't handle it very long.
0 you have a drug testing program, it's got to be with a very, very good agency.
0 problems, financial or whatever.
0 A: -- the classical thing is to give it away. I always worry about my teenage
0 A: The key thing that I think, that we try to do, is that bring all the
1 or two,
1 A: But, can't do too much of that or I'll waste away.
1 A: Yeah, well, unless you're selling car with hail damage and flood damage
0 B: Really [laughter].
0 sixteen thousand dollars --
1 A: I can't see paying as much for a car as you could buy a house for.
1 B: That's good.
0 and I would limit it strictly to something like tuition assistance.
0 B: Most people have a general idea --
0 A: Well, see I didn't either, until it happened.
1 we've got some good news and we've got some bad news,
0 A: Well, those, they're kind of nice but they're also, um, flimsy when you
0 down to where we had everything down to zero and especially right before I, I
0 A: Uh-huh.
0 A: Oh, uh-huh. Well, uh, I bought a motor home here f-, four years ago --
0 A: Yeah, yeah.
1 the kids are dirty and,
0 A: but the world. Several major countries in the world that we deal with
0 B: Yeah.
1 probably more interesting if it had been a male and a female [laughter].
0 B: Right.
0 B: Well, I, I hope that they will change uh, but, but I'm, I just, I know it's
0 know. It's sort of like they went to school and they worked so hard to get
0 there I mean those people over there have nothing, I mean you can't, you can't
1 B: Yeah, just to spite us, you know.
0 a three year old and a two year old,
1 A: That's right.
1 test them. Uh, I don't know. Uh, I'm not in the medical profession,
0 B: and I was on the east end of Dayton which is primarily Appalachian,
0 B: and they would tap it from underneath, drain off a gallon, put a gallon
1 for, for what, you know.
0 B: Right.
0 A: I guess not, okay. Um, we have family reunions about every year with my
0 A: a covered shelter and they've had big banners to display across the front
0 B: Oh, yeah, up in the mountains. Yeah, that's, that's what we miss, we miss
0 A: Yes, I'm in Dallas.
0 B: I've never heard of such of thing,
0 college age,
0 B: like, uh, church school and they even had things where,
0 the works only, you know, three weeks. Goes for like three to four weeks

0 A: Um, it's between the Texas and Louisiana border.
0 Speaker A tends to breath heavily throughout conversation.
