Description

Implement Protocol abstraction for DataCatalog - CatalogProtocol

Context

The logic behind: #3995 (comment) and #4151 (comment)

As a part of this work pattern resolution logic was moved outside of the catalog: #4110

The full work planned: #3995 (comment)
