This wiki will get you get started using Skin Helper Service in your skin.

At the right you will notice a navigation pane linking to all subjects of the wiki.

The script provides the following functionality:

  • Background service providing Window Properties: Additional metadata and/or artwork for media items and the Kodi databases.

  • Tools: A set of script methods to ease the life of skinners.

  • Skinsettings: A set of methods to set complex skin settings in a user friendly way.

  • Webservice: A builtin HTTP-server allowing to retrieve the scraped metadata.

TIP:

I try to implement each feature of the script in my own Titan skin. Just browse the source of my Titan code if you need working examples of all stuff this script provides.
