Description

Supporting polls would be nice now that Element has them. Currently they only appear as unknown events.

To Reproduce

  1. Create a poll from Element Web
  2. Have someone(s) answer the poll
  3. See (or don't) the poll on FluffyChat
  • screenshot

  • Installed version of FluffyChat: 1.2.0
  • (Android only) Which store are you using: Testflight

Meanwhile it would be super nice, if the user was noticed that there is a poll but the function is not supported yet. At the moment there is no notice at all, so that element users will think: "I posted the poll" – and won't be informed, that some users don't see it and fluffy users can't even mention that they can't participate, because they don't even know there is some message, they didn't get.

@lambdabundesverband It's possible to set FluffyChat to display events it doesn't recognize or support yet under Settings > Chat > Turn Hide invalid or unknown message formats off. However, that setting is turned on by default, which doesn't make too much sense in my humble opinion.

Fairkom has implemented such a feature while building a chat for schools in Germany (Rhineland-Palatinate).

I will check if I can improve and possibly backport that work.
