Sensible Interpretation (United States)

Purpose

Sensible Interpretation is a language module for legal agreements in the United States. It sets out the rules for interpreting documents that make up a legal agreement.

Use cases

You can think of the interpretation provision of a legal agreement as a global context to help readers of the agreement understand what was intended. By including an interpretation provision in a legal agreement, the drafters are able to eliminate common sources of confusion.

Not Legal Advice

This is not legal advice. Lawyers are involved in producing these terms, but they obviously aren't familiar with your circumstances. Any individuals involved in drafting the language in this repository are not your lawyer, and do not intend to provide you with legal advice. Speak to your lawyer to make sure that Sensible Interpretation is well aligned with your circumstances.
