Using migration scripts from embedded resources and external locations

I've tried to use migration scripts from embedded resources and external locations at the same time. But that doesn't seem to work. The documentation isn't clear about this scenario. So I'm going to ask here whether this is possible or not?

Just to add some context to the given scenario:

1. I want to add the DDLs to the embedded resources, as they'll be always the same.
2. I want to put the DMLs at an external location as they are customer specific.

I just looked through the source code and figured that only one of them is going to be instantiated. Do you think this is a feature worth implementing?
