Is deployment process to complicated?

We use

• travis
• docker
• travis-api to trigger rebuilt
• tirggering docker rebuilt
• creating branch in this repo and creating MR

I am creator of this "pipeline deployment process" it works but i thin is is complicated, not documented at all and maybe not done im good way. I think some things are done in wrong places. F.E. commit to this repo are made from travis at dockerFile repo, after triggering from library repo, why not do this commit form library repo? dockerFile repo should be responsible only for docker image not creating some MR.
