Buildroot development config and projects "small problems"

Hi! Sorry for the silly question. I'am building the projects: buildroot_dongshanpione and buildroot_idosom2d01 and found some "problems".

At the buildroot_dongshanpione by default the kernel headres are 5.x but it's expecting 6.x so you need manually change with make buildroot-menuconfig.

Now I have some other troubles... How to make a local dev? I need to edit the linux dir for ex: change .dts but when i run make again it's download the linux package again and override any changes... What is the easy way to do this?
