Journal Entries in Markdown files instead of JSON

This app by default stores journal entries in json format. I would liek to journal on my phone sometimes as well, where I am unaware of a good json editor.

If there was an option to store those files as markdown files instead, this would become very easy. I am not sure if it will be difficult or not, but since the editor supports markdown, I don't think it should be too much to ask.

I would really appreciate this.

Hi @arghya2801 and thank you for your request.

The editor does not directly support markdown as a format, but it supports markdown like input. That's a bit of a difference, so it is not as easy to handle the conversion, as the markdown format would not be able to handle a lot of custom values.

Yet it may be possible, if markdown users sacrifice functionality of the app in return.

So tldr: it's more than you think as the editor does not actually support markdown.

Ah I see. Seems like I misunderstood how it worked. Seems understandable. Thanks for clarifying.

If you don't mind me asking, have any other users mentioned some temporary work around for using this app on both laptop and phone(like a json editor on android or something)? I would appreciate that. I did see a discussion post where you have a mobile app in the works, so I am looking forward to it.
