DataviewJS filtered table of notes with toggles for tags

What I’m trying to do

I’m slowly going through old notes, items imported from TiddlyWiki and so on. I have many notes with no tags. There are certain tags which many notes need, but it’s awkward to find the right notes and apply the tag. What I want is a table of notes where I can easily set tags and other fields.

Things I have tried

I’ve found various posts in the forum about Dataview, DataviewJS, Buttons (depreciated I believe), MetaEdit, Meta Bind, and Metadata Menu. The Snippet Showcase has been useful but I’ll be honest and I got lost with all the options.
I've been able to use Meta Bind inputs like toggle and multiSelect, but how can I use those in one table to set the metadata in another note?

I have the basics of a DataviewJS table with a filter for a tag:

dv.table(["Note",], 
	dv.pages("#TagA")
    .map(t => [
		t.file.link,
		t.file.tags,
		t.file.locationType,
    ]))

The table I want would look like this:

Note	tagged #location	tagged #PlacesIveBeen	“locationType” selecter
UK	[x]	[x]	[Country]
London	[x]	[x]	[City]
China	[x]	[ ]	[Country]
Cheese	[ ]	[ ]	[ ]

The checkboxes would toggle the tag, and the selecter would allow me to select the locationType.

Can this be done?
