Ruby version: 2.4.2 (using rbenv) Rails version: 5.1.4

Instructions

Dependencies

Bundler, foreman, postgres

# if necessary, install postgres:
brew install postgresql

# install bundler, foreman:
gem install bundler
gem install foreman

To setup the database

# verify postgres is started
brew services start postgresql

# migrate the database
rails db:setup

Install frontend dependencies:

npm install

To start the app in development mode:

./bin/server
