PWM_PIN is dedicated to control tube brightness, fade in/out and crossfade effect, can also be used to simply turn on/off the tube. Sample program codes show only a small part of the potential of PWM control. Due to the different PWM frequencies for different Arduino boards, the SoftPWM library was used to standardize and show some of the functionality. PWM control will be further explored in the future in the nixie clock design using pro nixie sockets.
