When using sp_nonblocking_write and comm port disconnected program crashes

libserialport works great for me. Thank you for all the great work.

What is the best way to handle when you sending data using sp_nonblocking_write and the comm port is diconnected?
Like if im using a USB adapter and its disconnected.
