new lab build 🚧

After another 2 mergers the current lab either needs to be rebuilt, or it can move.
Looking to move the lab downstairs in its own room.

Org:
Any kind of rebuilding is necessary to accommodate the new equipment in an organized maintainable state.

Thermal:
It's normally 4F cooler down there, and the upper floors can act as a heat sink/well.

Less ventalation will be needed in the winter to move the heat where it's useful, and the equipment will benefit from passive convection cooling in the summer.

Pub:
Who knows, maybe interested people can actually tour it someday.

• sort equipment
• clean out the room
• purchase necessary cabling
• purchase power backup and conditioning
• setup place holder rack for live switchover
• move google fiber jack

flooring is in. need to pack up the first floor and schedule installation

floor install scheduled for 22aug.
will regroup after that and sketch design so parts can be ordered.
