Encode only "item_id" using the GLMM #1

I come from m5 discussion. Great effort and nice exploration about M5.

I have questions, did you only code "item_id" using the GLMM encoder?
If so, i can try to explain something:

we know "item_id" mapping "dep_id" and "cat_id" (eg. HOBBIES_1_001 HOBBIES_1 HOBBIES)
only code "item_id", "dep_id" and "cat_id" will not correspond to encoded "item_id". So "item_id" doesn't play an important role.(Equivalent to deleting "item_id"?)

I don't know if I'm right about my explaination.
