what video settings are you using for melonDS? |
I'm normally using 3x and I'm pretty sure I tried 1x resolution and it was there. The entire screen was unusable, and looks like a different effect to that issue visually. |
Do you have a savestate from where this issue happens? I can't seem to reproduce this on low resolutions. |
I was having this on the main menu before even saving the game. I'll have another go at reproducing it and send all my details over seeing as this might be more complicated than I thought.

Is a bad ROM likely to be the issue if it works fine with OpenGL classic? I've played through most of the game so far without issues on that renderer |
Oh yeah that seems unlikely now that you mention it working on the other renderer again. |
looks like this, also lots of flickering with checkerboard patterns and other weirdness.
