We attempted to publish a record to FGP and got the error

REST Map Resources should be available in english and french

We had the following entry.

To fix this entry we had to duplicate the map entry so that it existed twice - one for English and one for French

It would be nice if using "eng,fra" would make it so that this duplication was not required.

This duplication is also causing other issues - see geonetwork/core-geonetwork#7246

Supporting "eng,fra" is a worthwhile improvement, I believe it is valid for HANP 2.3.1.

HNAP currently does not fail with the HNAP plugin - if fails when publishing to FGP.

• Are you suggesting that FGP update their interface to support "eng,fra"?
• Are you suggesting that we add a validation that would check for a record with "eng,fra" or 2 records (one with eng and one with fra) and then transform the record - i.e. Split "eng,fra" into 2 records when publishing to FGP?

Bo, can you explain why bilingual eng,fra maps are not supported and why we need add one for each language even thought they have the same information.
