help with multi-room audio with apple tv and shairport-sync simultaneously?

Hi -

I'm sorry if this has been asked already, but I did go through the Open/Closed Issues + Discussions and couldn't find what I was looking for.

I just installed shairport-sync on a Raspberry Pi 4b and it is generally working great when I try to Airplay to it directly.

My confusion comes when I try to do multi-room. A few things I've encountered that have left me head scratching:

• My iPhone 13 mini with the latest iOS can [Airplay simultaneously to my Apple TV and Sonos speakers] OR [Airplay to the Raspberry Pi only]. It cannot Airplay to the Raspberry Pi AND any other devices.
• My 2020 Macbook Air performs slightly differently; it can Airplay to [Raspberry Pi or Apple TV] AND all the Sonos speakers

Can anyone help me understand why there seems to be a limitation of doing multi-room with the Raspberry Pi from my iPhone? Or why I'm experiencing different Airplay capabilities between the iPhone and Macbook Air?

Figured it out - I hadn't installed from development branch to get Airplay 2.
