static-if undefined

I occasionally get the error
Error in post-command-hook (vertico--exhibit): (void-function static-if)

when I call helpful-variable which I traced back to marginalia's use of this function in marginalia--variable-value.
It seems that static-if is defined in transient.el which is not require'd in marginalia.

I found out that that the latest version of compat has static-if defined, so an update fixed the issue.
