Instance Flow provides origin instances to zero, one or many Traverse Action

Traverse Action navigates from instances in exactly one Instance Flow

A traversal always originates from a set of instances of some Class. For example, we might navigate from a set of elevator Shaft instances. The originating set can be empty in which case an empty set of destination instances will result. Since the originating set of instances must all belong to the same Class, an Instance Flow is the appropriate source.

A given Instance Flow may or may not be used as a source for traversal. Since any Flow can have multiple destinations, the same Instance Flow could be a source for multiple Traversal Actions within the same Activity.
