An Association Class formalizes an Association using two association class references named T
and P
.
With an asymmetric Association, each Association Class Reference will refer to a separate Perspective. In fact, the T
Reference will refer to the Identifier of the Class found at the T
Perspective and the P
Reference will refer to the Identifier of the class at the P
Perspective.
With a symmetric Association there is only one S
Perspective. In that case, both the T
and P
References will each refer along that same Perspective and, therefore, to the same Identifier.
See figures in the Association Class Reference class description.
