# Course Description
This course introduces the students with the essentials of e-commerce, how EC is conducted and managed. It focuses on the technology and management issues surrounding e-commerce. The topics include an introduction to e-commerce and e-marketplaces, Internet consumer retailing, e-commerce models and applications, e-government, online advertising, building e-commerce applications, e-commerce security, e-payment systems.

# Course Objectives
After completion of this course you should be able to build e-commerce systems, and learn the techniques for designing, implementing, and maintaining these systems using open-source software.
