unable to use change_color.sh

I'm trying to create/change materia colors to make a new theme, first i tried using Oomox/Themix, but it crashed my xsession, afterwards i saw that it was possible using the script change_color.sh, so i tried; but it also crashed my xsession. Tried also using only tty, but it just logged me out in the middle of the process, no errors either...

I tried checking xorg.log to see if theres anything there, but i couldn't find any information at all, so i have no clue how to even start debugging this to give you guys info, since i can't see the reason it keeps crashing or not...

if you have any idea how to help me get the actual errors i'm facing, so i can put the logs here, please let me know :(
