Used as inspiration for our game. A haunted house exploration game where every playthrough will make a different house layout. Room tiles are chosen at random, and potential items, companions, and 'omens' (cards that foretell horrific events and have the potential of causing an event to start called the 'haunt') can be found throughout certain rooms -- along with various events that can also take place if players enter a certain room. Eventually the haunt begins, when typically one player will betray the rest of the group and begin a separate phase of the game. The 'traitor' will take the side of any monsters, ghosts, or other various enemies while the players that are left (heroes) work together to defeat the them.

A first-person horror exploration game that has players explore a haunted house always changing every playthrough. Players will find various items or have varying events take place depending on the room they find. As players explore more of the house, there's a chance that a 'haunt' will start, depending on triggers varying from the room they enter, an item they find, an event taking place, a certain amount of the house being explored, or any other unique conditions that can apply. By the time the haunt starts, either the player who triggered the haunt, everyone, or no one will be considered the 'traitor' and turn against the other players (heroes). Oftentimes, a third party can be at play in these haunts, where the very house will turn against the players.
