YouTube Continue On is a Chrome extension that enhances your YouTube viewing experience by generating a QR code of the current video, including the exact timestamp. With a simple scan, you can continue watching the video on any device from where you left off.
- QR Code Generation: Adds a button to the YouTube player controls to generate a QR code.
- Cross-Device Playback: Scan the QR code on your mobile or tablet to continue watching on another device.
- Current Timestamp: The QR code includes the exact point in the video where you left off.
- Seamless Design: The QR code is displayed in a sleek overlay, along with the video thumbnail and title for easy identification.

- Open Chrome and go to
chrome://extensions/
. - Enable Developer mode in the top-right corner.
- Click Load unpacked and select the folder where you cloned this repository.
- Go to a YouTube video: Open any video on YouTube.
- Click the QR Code Button: You’ll see a new button in the YouTube player controls.
- Scan the QR Code: A QR code will be generated, which includes the current video and timestamp. Scan it with your mobile device, and the video will open at the exact point where you left off.
- Cross-Device Playback: Continue watching the video on any device seamlessly by scanning the QR code.
You can also click on the extension icon in Chrome’s toolbar to trigger the same QR code overlay when you’re on a YouTube video page.
