SHARK makes an initial https call to 34.209.84.39 (amazon) and won't run without at least temporarily allowing this connection through firewall. If connection isn't allowed to refresh the program ceases to function, returning errors about no connection.
The microsoft edge window also makes connections to google etc.
Coming from CPU only ComfyUI, this does not seem intuitive or easy. It tries, but it keep failing in a recurring loop of rebuilding / compiling vulkan shaders and downloading things i didn't tell it to that ComfyUI NEVER needed to begin with on the same working model / lora combination.
This doesn't feel like a trustworthy program to me, but I guess it would if you were one of those 'trust and safety' people. Semantics.
I get serious privacy concerns using this, because i don't know what it's doing, and it keeps doing so much on it's own.
Thanks for the vulkan idea though.
Maybe you could do something good and reach out to comfyUI and figure out a way for them to use your vulkan idea without all the convoluted internet stuff. Like, ComfyUI never needed me to download any additional "models.safetensors" safety checker for diffusers. ComfyUI also never tried merging things like SHARK is deciding to do, or whatever.
A little less convoluted automation would be nice. And a lot more good faith.
