Magic Tofu

Simple as 1, 2, 3 and the best way to discover tofu! You can eat it with anything you'd like, but here I suggest a peanut/tahini sauce to top it.

Makes 4 servings

Ingredients (Tofu) :

Ingredients (Sauce) :

  • ½ a cup of tahini
  • ½ a cup of peanut butter
  • ½ a cup of water
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp Nutritional Yeast Flakes

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Crumble the tofu in small bites in a bowl (important to crumble, not cut, it's gonna help the texture).
  3. Add the liquid ingredients and mix.
  4. Add the nutritional yeast and mix.
  5. Put the tofu on a baking tray (ideally with parchment paper) and send it in the oven for 25 minutes.
  6. While the tofu is cooking, start some rice and vegetables.
  7. Mix all the ingredients of your chosen sauce. Add a little bit of water if it's too thick.
  8. When the tofu is cooked, put it on a bed of rice and pour the sauce on top. Serve with vegetables and enjoy !

Note : You can also eat this tofu with anything, for example in wraps or salads. I once tried it in a general tao sauté and it was delicious! I suggest this sauce.
