[Official] Future Project Direction Vote

Looking to the future I have some options for the future of the modification.
I will leave it up to the community to decide the current mods fate.

Port To NeoForge

The first option is after 4.9.0 and all the bug testing and fixes are applied I can port to NeoForge and keep the current features of the modification.

Pros:

• Easy transition.
• The mod will already be tested and stable.
• Faster release for NeoForge support.

Cons:

• Will remain with high TPS performance.

Start From Scratch

The other option is to build the mod over from the ground up but keep an eye on TPS this time around. Though Forge and NeoForge are not great for performance in general compared to fabric, I am not sure if this will be a major issue for most of the community.

Pros:

• Can try to fix TPS issues during development.

Cons:

• Harder transition to a new platform.
• Requires the mod to be remade piece by piece.
• No guarantee that TPS will be lower than now.
• Slower release for NeoForge support.
