Backbone.trackit not working with Backbone.DeepModel

I tried to use backbone.trackit with backbone-deep-model, but it is not working. Because backbone.trackit override Backbone.Model.prototype.set, but DeepModel uses its own method "set".

Just wondering was there an update to make this work with backbone-deep-model ? or a workaround ?
