Paper Plots: Mean Maps and Histograms

Check out our proposed Figure 2:

This shows the long-term mean (20yrs) of latent (upper row) and sensible (lower row) small scale heatflux ($Q^{**}$). The histograms on the right show the PDF of small scale fluxes for the long-term mean and monthly averages.

I will make an issue per figure to discuss tweaks, additions etc.

Any feedback more than welcome!

I would like to add the global mean value here too. Should I put that as another vertical line in the PDFs? Or as text into the maps?
