    <p><strong>Step 1:</strong>Combine blueberries, sweetener, lemon juice, and 1 cup water together in a blender; blend until smooth. Pour into a pitcher. Add remaining water and stir.

    <h2 id="bacon-apples">Recipe #2: Bacon Apples </h2>

apples, cored 2
brown sugar 1/4 cup and 2 tablespoons
ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon
cooked bacon, crumbled 4 slices
    <p><strong>Step 1:</strong>Build a campfire and allow the fire to burn until it has accumulated a bed of coals. Rake the coals into a flat bed on one side of the fire. Alternatively, preheat an outdoor grill.

Step 2:Place apples in a loaf pan. Combine brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl; spoon into each apple.

Step 3:Place the loaf pan into the campfire or on the grill; cook for about 3 minutes. Carefully remove the pan from the fire and sprinkle bacon over apples. Place in the fire or on the grill for about 5 minutes more.

Apples with some bacon.

    <h2 id="pot-pie">Recipe #3: Chicken Pot Pie</h2>

    <p><strong>Step 1:</strong>Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).

Step 2:In a saucepan, combine chicken, carrots, peas, and celery. Add water to cover and boil for 15 minutes. Remove from heat, drain and set aside.

Step 3:In the saucepan over medium heat, cook onions in butter until soft and translucent. Stir in flour, salt, pepper, and celery seed. Slowly stir in chicken broth and milk. Simmer over medium-low heat until thick. Remove from heat and set aside.

Step 4:Place the chicken mixture in bottom pie crust. Pour hot liquid mixture over. Cover with top crust, seal edges, and cut away excess dough. Make several small slits in the top to allow steam to escape.

Step 5:Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until pastry is golden brown and filling is bubbly. Cool for 10 minutes before serving.

 A big round pie!

            <h2 id="garlic-bread">Recipe #4: Toasted Garlic Bread </h2>

skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - cubed 1 pound
sliced carrots 1 cup
frozen green peas 1 cup
sliced celery 1/2 cup
butter 1/3 cup
chopped onion 1/3 cup
all-purpose flour 1/3 cup
salt 1/2 teaspoon
black pepper 1/4 teaspoon
celery seed 1/4 teaspoon
chicken broth 1 3/4 cups
milk 2/3 cup
unbaked pie crusts 2 (9 inch)

Step 1:Preheat the broiler.

Step 2:Cut the bread into slices 1 to 2 inches thick.

Step 3:In a small bowl, mix butter, olive oil, garlic, oregano, salt and pepper. Spread the mixture evenly on the bread slices.

Step 4:On a medium baking sheet, arrange the slices evenly and broil 5 minutes, or until slightly brown. Check frequently so they do not burn.

Step 5:Remove from broiler. Top with cheese and return to broiler 2 to 3 minutes, until cheese is slightly brown and melted. Serve at once.

Yummy looking bread!

    <h2 id="vanilla-ice-cream">Recipe #5: Vanilla Ice Cream </h2>

Ingredients Quantity
Italian bread 1 loaf (1 pound)
butter, softened 5 tablespoons
extra virgin olive oil 2 teaspoons
garlic, crushed 3 cloves
dried oregano 1 teaspoon
salt and pepper just to taste
shredded mozzarella cheese 1 cup

heavy whipping cream 2 cups
half-and-half cream 2 cups
white sugar 3/4 cup
vanilla extract 1 tablespoon
    <p><strong>Step 1:</strong>In a large bowl, combine the heavy cream and the half and half. Gradually whisk in the sugar until blended.

Step 2:Whisk in the vanilla. Refrigerate, covered, until very cold, at least 3 hours.

Step 3:Whisk the mixture to blend and pour into the canister of an ice cream maker. Freeze according to the manufacturer's directions. Eat at once.

A few scoops of vanilla ice cream!
