Is the 'Exclude For' feature deprecated for Variants? If so then time to remove from docs

scroll to paragraph starting "In the Exclude for section, click Add a line and select any product(s) and/or specific attribute values that are currently unavailable."

I can't find a "Configure Variants" button as referenced.
There is a CONFIGURE button on each attribute row on the Attributes & Variants subtab, but in the resulting tree view I can't find the Exclude For functionality.
