Google Docs “Offline” Mode

The controls all get greyed out and the curser goes away. Scrolling is retained

Awesome, you can read and select text, but copying doesn't work :D

Yeah, but GDocs is weird in the sense it requires an extension to copy/paste just so they make sure the shared clipboard works. Perhaps another instance of the design decision behind Siri not working offline even though it could: enforcing certain product behavior/expectations through consistency.

"If the shared clipboard doesn't work, then we cannot afford to have this feature behave differently when offline."
