• Discussion of scope of the project work

• Nova will be demoing Stardust XR

Next Working Group Session (8th Feb, 1600 UTC)

• Discussing the scope of a small demo project which we can use to start the group off with some actual work items.

Discussion Points

• Nova discussed Stardust XR as a possible model for how things can be implemented
• Adam suggested that "we should throw away the first version" of whatever we design. Many baked in horrible ideas in prior work, and allows us to experiment more freely knowing that the first version isn't permanent.
• Discussion of input led to a larger discussion on input abstraction
• Discussion of how input devices might work, whether we capture intent (i.e. "Activate") or device status (i.e. "Click")
• Brief discussion and suggestion to look at the WASI permissions model
• Nova discussed XR Accessibility Object Model
• Adam raised prospect of API v WASM - whether we want to rename the group to a 'general scripting group', point was raised
• "Is there a good modern implementation of a DOM?" suggestion to look at the Unity API
• Discussion of demos
• Rick W: Good to get Illustrative user story
• Adam: request for use case contributions to the discussion thread on that topic
• Finished on discussion of Scratch / Blockly and visual scripting and user scripting within worlds and how that might fit in.
