Scanning Patient Meds #63
Comments
@stephenwaite We can start brainstorming on this idea if it can make a difference. |
Hi im-Amitto, Yes, that would be great! Would like to use handheld scanner to scan meds for patients in the the patient portal, under medications and for inventory of meds. Once the meds are in our inventory, then we can scan the medication barcode (unique barcode for only our inventory) and prescribe that medication to the patient. Once the medication been scanned then minus from medication inventory and then the med would show up under medications but for only that patient. This would be so much easier then typing them in by hand. |
Sounds good, I will take a look into the api in the web-app to figure out
the complete plan.

Hi im-Amitto, Any luck on getting this up and going to scan patient meds? |
Sorry, I don't think I will be able to pick it anytime soon. Things are not
going well at my end right now.

How can I scan patient meds into OpenEMr using a handheld scanner? Or is there app that needs to be installed on iPhone or Android?
