How can I scan patient meds into OpenEMr using a handheld scanner? Or is there app that needs to be installed on iPhone or Android?

Hi im-Amitto,

Yes, that would be great! Would like to use handheld scanner to scan meds for patients in the the patient portal, under medications and for inventory of meds. Once the meds are in our inventory, then we can scan the medication barcode (unique barcode for only our inventory) and prescribe that medication to the patient. Once the medication been scanned then minus from medication inventory and then the med would show up under medications but for only that patient. This would be so much easier then typing them in by hand.
