Axis camera UDP/TCP Input #810
-
Hello everyone, I would like to know if it’s possible to send TCP or UDP commands to an AXIS camera to configure or switch it into a specific mode, such as night mode. Is there any documentation or example of messages (TCP or UDP) that would allow controlling the camera this way? I'm particularly interested in a command that could directly enable night mode via the network. Thanks in advance for your help! |

Hi @Clem7758 , Once you receive TCP commands, you can map them to the appropriate VAPIX API calls for camera control. To help you control VAPIX APIs from ACAP, these examples will be useful: For instance, if you need to configure the camera or switch it to a specific mode like night mode, you can refer to the DayNight API in the VAPIX library. |

@vivekatoffice So I have allow the anonymous acces But even with this, you need the password to perform the actions. Maybe there's something else you need to do? |

Hi @Clem7758 ,
It is very strange to find that there is no option to enter Username and Password in the controller interface.
I am not sure what camera Axis OS version you have but you can enable the "Allow anonymous viewing" option and try.
