From AXIS OS 12.0, the artifact ACAP Computer Vision SDK in the form of a container image is removed and utility libraries and scripts have been moved to ACAP Runtime. This means that the ACAP Computer Vision SDK is no longer needed to run container applications.

I am 100% agree with you it is not so crystal clear for now how container applications will run inside An Axis device without container support . May be few container-based examples without using the ACAP Computer Vision SDK will help to explain this in detail.

I suggest you try to follow the An example of how to use containers in a native ACAP application and understand what components need to be added in Axis OS for making An Axis device with container support 😕

• Use: ACAP Computer Vision SDK to write Python applications and run them as containers in container-enabled Axis devices.
• Use AXIS OS LTS 2024 (AXIS OS 12.0 and above might not work)
• AXIS OS LTS 2024 is maintained until 2030
