Android integration for axis a1610

Hello,

I have done integration with C# (AxisMediaParserLib) to windows application that parse data from axis a1610 and send requests (for example set lights on/off with io) to axis device. System works fine, but my question is: Is there any firmware/sdk for android that I can use for parsing data from axis device (or must I use some other way to communicate between android device and axis device)? Android devices (for example tablets) are cheaper and their size is not so big so I want maybe do our system with android device too.

Their is no any SDK for android from Axis , but you can rely on VAPIX, since it is procotol and should work for all the system.

Ok, thanks. I can send messages (for example get last card readings) to axis with vapix and parse data from response, windows mediaparser lib is quite easy to use you can connect to axis device and after that you get all topics/events to win software. I try to find that kind solution with android too, try to get event stream automatically to android device and parsing that.

Metadata via WebSocket is also an option. Never tested with Axis A1610 but give it a try at least 😉
