To whomever it may concern
I have already received the information, that the Gitbook web-application/editor, is not optimised for tablets and/or mobile hand-held devices, in general. My experience, editing on my tablet, has been glitchy and quirky, but not unmanageably so. Indeed, it is much less glitchy, quirky and problematic, than my experience of editing on the Notion Android app and Notion Web-app. Both of which are supposed to be premier implementations in their class, and optimised for mobile hand-held devices. So, Gitbook, un-optimised, fares well, comparatively, anecdotally. But, it has taken some getting used to. Indeed, some of the quirks have resolved, and disappeared, such as not being able to edit text within level one headings, for example. Which I found quite frustrating. But, I am now very productive on Gitbook, and am very pleased with my choice, to venture the technology.
For your knowledge, the Gitbook web-application‘s icon in the Samsung web-browser tab, here:
https://app.gitbook.com/o/dQUb4Q0ppBuUnLV54nP1/insights/audit
for example, is so dim, as to be hardly discernable or visible, in my workflow. As, I juggle a number of tabs, open at the one time, this impacts significantly on my productivity. I note, that the Gitbook Web-application‘s tab in the Samsung Internet browser, here:
https://docs.gitbook.com/snippets-and-insights/insights#content-audit
conversely, is bright and easily discernable and clearly visible, which is perplexing, inconsistent, branding.
I felt I should let you know.
That said, thank you so much for this wonderful bit of code, and writing, editing and publication toolset.
Cheers
Beauford
